Hello,

when comparing the values from the "shock-curve" and "forces" graphs with the pivot forces in the 2D view, there is sometimes quite a deviation. In some cases the pivot-forces are up to 15% higher than what can be seen in the graphs.

For example: The pivot-force on the shock-eyes shows 230N when the force from fully compressing the shock is only 200N (graph).

I'm happy to provide a file if necessary.
Hope someone can help me to understand what's going on.

Thank you and best regards
Christoph

Hi, the diagram shows a case when the frame is vertical.
The drawing shows the current case. If you have Horizontal mode ON then it can be quite different so force directions don't match.
In H.Mode OFF they should be the same though.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
I tried toggling the horizontal mode on/off and indeed I can see a difference in the displayed pivot forces. However, the deviation from the graph values persists.
Please take a look at the examples in the pictures.

Horizontal off: http://imgfz.com/i/puymwXb.png
Horizontal on: http://imgfz.com/i/3ILNEBK.png

In this case my readings are:
graph: ca. 2600 N
hor. off: 3155,8 N
hor. on: 3062,6 N

Please help to further understand.

Best regards
Christoph

Setting Sag seems to cause the problem. The current force displayed then probably shows a value not including sag, ie. for a virtual larger travel. Thanks for noting this, there will be a fix.
Sag causes a lot of difficulties from a software viewpoint and this one has not been detected so far.

OK, thanks for the open feedback.
Looking forward to the fix.

Best regards
